Instead of looking at the fall clothes, you are taking this headline a step further by letting your audience know that they need to purchase these items.
Let’s take a look at how a site like Bustle puts you in the buying mood:
In this article, Bustle talks about temperature-keeping stainless steel thermoses, that’s a mouthful, but this headline sets the scene for anyone wanting to purchase. They are telling you that you don’t want to go another day without these thermoses, priming you to click add to cart. This way, if you click on this article, the thought that you can’t live without these thermoses is already in your head.
This tip is about priming your audience, so you get more qualified traffic. Those people who click through on your article are more likely to purchase because they have seen your headline, and they want to know more.
3. Survey Your Audience To Get To Know What They Want To Purchase
You can’t assume what your audience wants, but you also can’t go out and say “what do you want to purchase so I can sell products to you more effectively?” Everyone could be an affiliate marketer if that were the case. You need to be smarter about this. Use social media polling features so you can learn little snippets about your audience. For example, if you were a book blogger you might ask questions like:
- What’s the most you have ever spent on a book?
- What’s your favorite book genre?
- How many pages does your favorite book have?
- What are your favorite places to purchase books?
